(Dermateaceae: Helotiales) is known as a significant pathogen causing target spot disease and results in profound yield loss. In the present study, the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) determined based on next-generation sequencing technology. The circular mitogenome (56,935 bp) comprised 14 conserved protein-coding genes (PCGs), 16 ORFs, two ribosomal RNA genes (rns and rnl), one non-coding RNA gene (rnpB), one ribosomal protein S3 (rps3) and 28 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes. The overall base composition is as follows: 36.08% A, 35.25% T, 13.04% C, and 15.63% G, with a GC content of 28.70%. The phylogenetic analysis shows that , belonging to Dermateaceae, forms a separate clade and is sister to Sclerotiniaceae. The mitogenome of reported in this study provides more molecular data for further research on the evolutionary relationships of Helotiales.

Kinetoplastids display a single, large mitochondrion per cell, with their mitochondrial DNA referred to as the kinetoplast. This kinetoplast is a network of concatenated circular molecules comprising a maxicircle (20-64 kb) and up to thousands of minicircles varying in size depending on the species (0.5-10 kb).

(1) Background: is a major parasite of large porpoises and whales and has been classified in the Habronematoidea family. However, there has been a great controversy regarding its classification. Mitochondria have an important function in revealing taxonomic and evolutionary history.

, a marine benthic diatom, holds promise for human nutrition and health as well as for aquaculture applications. However, the scarcity of organelle genome data within the Navicula clade has impeded a comprehensive understanding and utilization of this group. Our research presents a pioneering exploration into the complete mitochondrial and chloroplast genome sequences of CACC 0356, shedding light on its phylogeny and evolutionary history.

The mitochondrial genome, highly conserved across species, is crucial for species identification, phylogenetic analysis, and evolutionary research. and , two species with significant forensic value, have been understudied in terms of genetic data. In this study, the complete mitochondrial genomes of (15,623 bp) and (15,729 bp) were sequenced and analyzed.

Camel bot fly () larvae cause myiasis in domesticated and wild camels, resulting in significant economic losses to the camel industry and posing a serious global public health concern. To date, only one mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of isolated from the Alxa Bactrian camel has been reported. Herein, was isolated from the Junggar Bactrian camel to assemble a complete circular mitogenome with a length of 16,552 bp encoding 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, and two rRNA genes.
