Introduction: A pyelovesicostomy is a rare procedure that offers an alternative to difficult pyeloplasty or failed pyeloplasty in the case of PUJO of pelvic renal ectopia. In this case report, we utilized pyelovesicostomy for a dilated renal pelvis of a crossed fused ectopic pelvic kidney with a single ureter.
Case Presentation: This is a 19-year-old male patient who received a diagnosis of pelvic ectopic kidney disease of 4 years duration. He was on a periodic DJ-stent exchange every 3 months at a different hospital. Upon presentation, the patient complains of pain in the right lower quadrant and a decrease in urine output. On physical examination, a palpable mass is detected in the right lower quadrant. The laboratory reveals an elevated creatinine level of 2.3 mg/dl. He was admitted with a diagnosis of acute kidney injury and a crossed fused ectopic pelvic kidney with Pelvic-Ureteric Junction Obstruction and a migrated Double-J stent. Initially, a semi-rigid ureteroscope guided the migrated DJ-stent, which was successfully removed and a new one was inserted. Later, an open surgery with a pyelovesicostomy was performed. Subsequently, the patient improved and was discharged.
Discussion: Pyelovesicostomy is an ideal treatment option for pelvic ureteral junction obstruction in congenital pelvic kidneys. The pyelovesicostomy should not be prone to strictures at the anastomotic site as long as it makes wide anastomosis, and the free reflux that results from the surgery shouldn't impair renal function.
Conclusion: Pyelovesicostomy is feasible, safe, and a potential treatment option for congenital-ectopic pelvic kidney with ureteric obstruction.

The automated diagnosis of low-resolution and difficult-to-recognize breast ultrasound images through multi-modal fusion holds significant clinical value. However, prevailing fusion methods predominantly rely on image modalities, neglecting the textual pathology information, and only benign and malignant diagnosis of breast tumors is not satisfying for clinical applications. Consequently, this paper proposes a novel multi-modal fusion interactive diagnostic framework, termed the MIC framework, to achieve the multi-label classification of breast cancer, namely benign-malignant classification and breast imaging reporting and data system (BI-RADS) 3, 4a, 4b, 4c, and 5 gradings.

Acenaphthylene-fused heteroarenes with a variety of five- and six-membered heterocycles such as thiophene, furan, benzofuran, pyrazole, pyridine and pyrimidine were synthesized via an efficient Pd-catalyzed reaction cascade in good to high yields (45-90%). This cascade involves an initial Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction between 1,8-dihalonaphthalenes and heteroarylboronic acids or esters, followed by an intramolecular C-H arylation under the same conditions to yield the final heterocyclic fluoranthene analogues. The method was further employed to access polyoxygenated benzo[]fluoranthenes, which are all structurally relevant to benzo[]fluoranthene-based fungal natural products.

Objective: This study aims to assess and compare two state-of-the-art deep learning approaches for segmenting four thoracic organs at risk (OAR)-the esophagus, trachea, heart, and aorta-in CT images in the context of radiotherapy planning.
Materials And Methods: We compare a multi-organ segmentation approach and the fusion of multiple single-organ models, each dedicated to one OAR. All were trained using nnU-Net with the default parameters and the full-resolution configuration.

Hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) are serious complication for patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), often resulting in poor functional outcomes. However, no existing model can specifically predict HAI in AIS patients. Background: There is little information about when and how cavernosal sinusoidal endothelia develop in the external genitalia of fetuses.
Methods: We examined histological sections of erectile tissue in 37 human fetuses (25 males and 12 females) whose gestational age (GA) ranged from 8 to 40 weeks.
Results: The sinusoidal lumen was filled with blood in the glans of the penis and clitoris at a GA of 10-11 weeks, and in the corpus spongiosum at a GA of 15-16 weeks.
