Background: This study aims to explore the interplay between body mass index (BMI), neutrophils, triglyceride levels, and uric acid (UA). Understanding the causal correlation between UA and health indicators, specifically its association with the body's inflammatory conditions, is crucial for preventing and managing various diseases.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 4,286 cases utilizing the Spearman correlation method.

Introduction: Intramedullary tibial nailing is a standard treatment for tibial shaft fractures. Postoperative knee pain significantly impacts functional recovery; however, studies on this issue are limited. This study evaluated the effect of the parapatellar approach for intramedullary nailing on postoperative knee pain.

Background: Tumour hypoxia resulting from inadequate perfusion is common in many solid tumours, including prostate cancer, and constitutes a major limiting factor in radiation therapy that contributes to treatment resistance. Emerging research in preclinical animal models indicates that exercise has the potential to enhance the efficacy of cancer treatment by modulating tumour perfusion and reducing hypoxia; however, evidence from randomised controlled trials is currently lacking. The 'Exercise medicine as adjunct therapy during RADIation for CAncer of the prostaTE' (ERADICATE) study is designed to investigate the impact of exercise on treatment response, tumour physiology, and adverse effects of treatment in prostate cancer patients undergoing external beam radiation therapy (EBRT).

Purpose: Build machine learning (ML) models able to predict pathological complete response (pCR) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in breast cancer (BC) patients based on conventional and radiomic signatures extracted from baseline [F]FDG PET/CT.
Material And Methods: Primary tumor and the most significant lymph node metastasis were manually segmented in baseline [F]FDG PET/CT of 52 newly diagnosed BC patients. Clinical parameters, NAC and conventional semiquantitative PET parameters were collected.

The photoautotrophic nature of cyanobacteria, coupled with their fast growth and relative ease of genetic manipulation, makes these microorganisms very promising factories for the sustainable production of bio-products from atmospheric carbon dioxide. However, both in nature and in cultivation, cyanobacteria go through different abiotic stresses such as high light (HL) stress, heavy metal stress, nutrient limitation, heat stress, salt stress, oxidative stress, and alcohol stress. In recent years, significant improvement has been made in identifying the stress-responsive genes and the linked pathways in cyanobacteria and developing genome editing tools for their manipulation.
