Results: Incidence of local recurrence was slightly higher in Group A (8.7%) than in Group B (4.3%) but was not statistically significant. There was no statistical significance between both groups regarding distant metastasis (8.7% in Group A and 13% in Group B). Urinary and sexual dysfunctions were higher in Group B (26.1%) compared to those in Group A (21.7%) but were not statistically significant. The incidence of lateral pelvic lymph node metastasis was 30.4%. Also, intraoperative blood loss was higher and operative time was longer in Group B which was statistically significant ( value <0.001).
Conclusion: Our conclusion was that prophylactic addition of LPLD to TME was not associated with a statistically significant decrease in the risk of local recurrence or distant metastasis in patients with rectal cancer, although it was numerically better. LPLD is associated with longer operative time and higher intraoperative blood loss.

Background: Unilateral sacral fractures with posterior ring instability represent a prevalent type of posterior pelvic ring fracture. While lumbo-pelvic fixation is recognized as a highly stable method, the sufficiency of unilateral lumbo-pelvic fixation (ULF) for such fractures remains under debate.
Purpose: This study aims to assess the biomechanical stability of ULF compared to traditional bilateral lumbo-pelvic fixation (BLF) and triangular osteosynthesis (TO), incorporating clinical observations, and previous biomechanical data.

Objective: To explore the correlation between vitamin D levels, related endocrine/metabolic factors, and the risk of slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) in children and adolescents, and to assess whether vitamin D levels are associated with SCFE severity.
Methods: A retrospective case-control study was conducted from March 2014 to October 2023 in Shengjing hospital. Patients diagnosed with SCFE were categorized as the SCFE group.

Background: Transperitoneal approach to robot-assisted pyeloplasty (RAP) have been preferred in the last decades because of the use of multi-port robotic platforms. However, this approach is linked to notable issues, such as pneumoperitoneum and lateral decubitus position, which is associated with potential soft tissues injuries, and it is a time-consuming procedure. Single-port (SP) platform was introduced to potentially address these issues.

Purpose: The primary aim of this study is to determine the rectus abdominis tendon (RAT) insertional anatomy and consequently clarify the extension of secure mobilization of the tendon from the pubic bone in the setting of anterior approaches in pelvic and acetabular reconstruction surgery.
Materials And Methods: Eleven fresh frozen cadaveric pelvises were dissected by two fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeons utilizing the anterior intrapelvic approach (AIP). The RAT at the pubic body was dissected, and its footprint on the pubic bone was defined, marked, and measured.
