The 20-nuclearity compound [FeDy(tea)(teaH)(NO)]·8MeCN (where teaH = triethanolamine) was synthesised and characterised through single crystal X-ray diffraction and magnetic measurements. The shape of the magnetic hysteresis in the microSQUID measurements was rationalised using the MAGELLAN program.

Understanding the flow, loss, and recovery of the information between a system and its environment is essential for advancing quantum technologies. The central spin system serves as a useful model for a single qubit, offering valuable insights into how quantum systems can be manipulated and protected from decoherence. This work uses the stimulated echo experiment to track the information flow between the central spin and its environment, providing a direct measure of the sensitivity of system/environment correlations to environmental dynamics.

Orbital angular momentum multiplexing holography based on multiple polarization channel metasurface.

Nanophotonics

November 2023

Key Laboratory of Ultrafast Photoelectric Technology and Terahertz Science in Shaanxi, Xi'an University of Technology, Xi'an, 710048, China.

As a high-degree-of-freedom approach to manipulate the electromagnetic wave, metasurfaces are widely used in high-capacity information technology. Extensive investigations have explored multiplexing techniques using polarization, incident angle, wavelength, and infinite-dimensional multiplexing through Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM). However, due to the limited spatial resolution and array size of the metasurface, the number of multiplexing channels that can be actually realized is limited.

Introduction/objective: The Scleroderma Patient-centered Intervention Network Support group Leader EDucation Program was found in a randomized controlled trial to substantially improve leader self-efficacy. Whether the program is effective for leaders with different levels of experience, including candidate leaders with no prior experience and leaders with ⩽3 years experience or ⩾4 years experience, is not known. The objective of the present post hoc secondary analysis was to evaluate outcomes by leader experience, age, and education.

Enhancement of the magnetic field components of electromagnetic waves is of particular interest across a wide range of applications such as enhanced magnetic dipole emission and increased sensitivity of magnetic resonance. Diabolo antennas are known to significantly enhance the local intensity of oscillating magnetic fields. Although the enhancement factor is sufficiently high for these purposes, the drawback is a narrow frequency band due to their resonant nature.

Cerebral perfusion and amyloidosis in the oldest-old.

Alzheimers Dement

December 2024

Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Introduction: In a nested case-control study, we examined how cerebral perfusion relates to cognitive status and amyloid in the oldest-old (i.e., 90 years of age and older).
