The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of using probiotics with strains related to dopamine and gamma-aminobutyric acid production on clinical features of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This randomized, controlled trial involved 38 children with ADHD and 42 children with ASD, aged 5-16 years, who received probiotics (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum and Levilactobacillus brevis 109/cfu/daily) or placebo for 12 weeks. Parent-reported symptoms were assessed using Conners' 3rd-Ed and the Social Responsiveness Scale Test, 2nd-Ed (SRS-2), and children completed the Conners Continuous Performance Test, 3rd-Ed (CPT 3) or Conners Kiddie CPT, 2nd-Ed (K-CPT 2).

Neuroimmunometabolism describes how neuroimmune cells, such as microglia, adapt their intracellular metabolic pathways to alter their immune functions in the CNS. Emerging evidence indicates that neurons also orchestrate the microglia mediated immune response through neuro-immune crosstalk perhaps through metabolic signalling. However, little is known about how the brain's metabolic microenvironment and microglial intracellular metabolism orchestrate the neuroimmune response in healthy and diseased brains.

Background: Acne vulgaris is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease of the pilosebaceous unit frequently cited as the most common condition diagnosed and treated by dermatologists. Among the many therapies developed for treating acne, none are effective for all patients and new treatments are always being sought. A commercial nutraceutical formulated with vitamins, minerals and a proprietary blend of botanicals has been used as a safe and effective adjunctive therapy for non-cystic acne (Clear Skin Formula; VitaMedica®).

Klebsiella pneumoniae (KP) is a common and highly pathogenic pathogen, which often causes several serious infections in humans. The rampant and inappropriate use of broad-spectrum antibiotics has fueled a worrisome surge in Multidrug Resistance (MDR) among the strains of K. pneumoniae, which has significantly boosted the risk and complexity of nosocomial infection transmission in clinical settings.

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a severe, progressive disorder characterized by elevated pulmonary arterial pressure, leading to right ventricular failure and increased mortality. Despite advancements in management, the median survival for PH patients remains 5-7 years, with an inhospital mortality rate of approximately 6%. The core pathological feature of PH is pulmonary vascular remodeling (PVR), a multifactorial process involving endothelial dysfunction, inflammation, and aberrant immune responses.
