Sustainable energy technologies enable solutions for future green transportation. Realizing status awareness and effective wireless monitoring of rail transit infrastructure in dark environments, narrow spaces, and unattended conditions has always been a challenge. This study presents a battery-free vibration-powered force sensing system (VFSS) that integrates structural loading, sensing, and energy harvesting. The proposed VFSS can sense a switching force of up to 4 kN in the high-speed railway turnout section, deliver 6.9 mW of average power over a broad frequency band (ca. 500 Hz) under a vibration amplitude of 0.2 mm, and realize wireless data transmission. Through a cross-scale design from the device to the system, we demonstrate an all-in-one smart component that features stress flow, signal flow, and energy flow, which could highlight the implementation of energy structures in the future.

Concrete box subgrades constructed from reinforced concrete serve as alternatives to conventional fill subgrades, effectively addressing the scarcity of high-quality fill materials. A hybrid simulation approach that merges coupled dynamics with finite element modelling was adopted for both single-line and double-line ballastless track-box subgrade systems, enabling a comparative analysis of dynamic stress, displacement, and acceleration. The results reveal that, when the two traffic conditions are compared, the dynamic response of the concrete box subgrade under double-line opposing operation shows a marked increase, particularly when the dynamic displacement increases by 80%.

In order to improve the operation efficiency and market competitiveness, how to optimize the ticket pricing strategy of high-speed railway to match the dynamic supply-demand relationship was an urgent problem to be studied. Taking differentiated passenger demand and supply trains as the research object, the space-time service network based on train timetable was constructed. The generalized cost formula and travel utility formula of passenger travel were proposed, which contained economy, rapidity, convenience, comfort, and route correlation cost.

Railway traction motor bearings (RTMB) are critical components in high-speed trains (HST) that are particularly susceptible to failure due to the high stress and rotational frequency they experience. To address the challenge of high false-positive rates in existing monitoring systems, this paper introduces a novel sensorless monitoring scheme that leverages stator current to detect fault-related characteristics, eliminating the need for additional sensors. This approach employs a hybrid signal preprocessing algorithm that integrates adaptive notch filtering (ANF) with envelope spectrum analysis (ESA) to effectively sparse the stator current and extract relevant fault features.

The strong wind environment causes the additional conductor of the overhead contact system (OCS) of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang high-speed railway to gallop, significantly impacting the safe operation of the train. This paper presents the design of an online monitoring system for the galloping of additional conductors in the OCS, utilizing video monitoring for accurate and real-time assessment. Initially, the dynamics of the OCS additional conductor and its operational environment are examined, leading to the selection of suitable data transmission and power supply methods to finalize the camera configuration.
