Vertebro-vertebral fistulas (VVFs) are uncommon vascular pathology. It can be either primary (spontaneous) or secondary (iatrogenic or mechanical trauma). Spontaneous vertebral arteriovenous malformation is often associated with connective tissue disorders. Cases associated with neurofibromatosis type I (NF I) are even rarer. Management of VVF with covered stent is an emerging option for construction of vertebral artery. It not only preserves the flow of the parent artery but also has immediate exclusion of the fistula from the parent artery. A 30-year-old pregnant female patient presented with cervical bruit and left upper limb radiculopathy. She was a known case of NF I. Magnetic resonance imaging cervical spine revealed multiple flow voids compressing the cervical spinal cord and nerve roots. Digital subtraction angiography revealed a vertebral artery arteriovenous fistula. She underwent endovascular treatment in the form of a covered stent. Her clinical symptoms immediately improved. She was asymptomatic at the 1-year follow-up.

Introduction: Management of patients with large aortic arch aneurysms who are considered high risk for frozen elephant trunk technique have been challenging, especially when they have a dilated ascending aorta (AA) that precludes total endovascular branched repair (arch BEVAR). A viable option in our armamentarium is wrapping of the AA (AW), and zone 0 Ishimaru TEVAR.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of our aortic database from 2013 to 2024 to select high-risk patients with aortic arch aneurysm that had an AW and TEVAR.

Bilateral vertebral artery dissections account for only 8% of all vertebral artery dissections and cause just 2% of all ischemic strokes. They can occur spontaneously, even without any triggering factor. Classical clinical findings, such as headache or neck pain, may be absent, particularly in the context of a stroke.

Background And Objective: Neurofibromatosis-1 (NF1) dystrophic scoliosis is a challenging disease to manage surgically, with multiplanar curves progressing rapidly and unpredictably. Conservative management with bracing is often unsuccessful, and many patients necessitate instrumented fusion to halt progression of their curves. In rare cases, patients can present with spontaneous vertebral subluxation, significantly complicating the surgical management of this already complex disease process.

Background And Objectives: Vertebral artery injury (VAI) because of traumatic subaxial cervical spine injury is a rare but potentially devastating condition as it could lead to stroke. The aim of this study was to examine the incidence, risk factors, outcomes, and radiographic predictors of VAI in patients surgically treated for subaxial cervical spine injuries at a tertiary care trauma center.
