This article reports the first occurrence of (Rudolphi, 1819) Looss, 1901 (Digenea: Rhytidodidae) in the olive-ridley turtle (Testudines: Chelonidae), in an individual found in the State of Sergipe, Brazil. Although has already been described in other species of sea turtles in the world, this is the first report of this parasite in . We also present a list of hosts and locations where this helminth has already been identified.

Quercetin, a vital flavonoid found in many medicinal plants, has shown anti-inflammatory, anti-cancerous, anti-aging, anti-tumour, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-obesity, anti-diabetic, and anti-protozoal activity. However, very little is known of its anthelmintic activity; there is no literature against tapeworm infection so far. The present study was performed to expose its cestocidal role by using the zoonotic tapeworm as a parasite model.

The Indo-Chinese green peafowl Pavo muticus imperator (Galliformes: Phasianidae) is an endangered bird species. However, our present knowledge of the species composition of nematode parasites of this bird remains limited. In the present study, two nematode parasites Heterakis pedioecetes Mawson, 1956 (Ascaridomorpha: Heterakoidea) and Synhimantus (Dispharynx) nasuta (Rudolphi, 1819) (Spiruromorpha: Acuarioidea) were reported from P.

The present study is aimed to investigate potential in vitro anthelmintic efficacy of two phenolic compounds Ferulic acid and Sinapic acid against the parasite . Adult parasites collected from infected rat's intestine (maintained in our laboratory) were treated with 1, 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mg/mL concentrations of both the compounds in RPMI-1640 media containing 1% Tween 20.

Filaroid nematodes Setaria tundra (Issaitshikoff & Rajewskaya, 1928) and Setaria cervi (Rudolphi, 1819) are internal parasites from family Onchocercidae with occurrence in the northern hemisphere. They have a considerably wide range of final host, including many species of family Cervidae. Intermediate hosts and vectors at the same time, are represented by the several mosquito species, mostly of genus Aedes.
