Air stability is a big challenge for inverted perovskite solar cells (IPVSCs). We focus on effect of a cathode interlayer (BCP or TOASiW) on air degradation of IPVSCs with an Al or Ag cathode. Combined measurements have been carried out to check the changes of the device electrical performance with exposure to air. Our results demonstrated that the IPVSCs with BCP/Al suffered an overall deterioration in terms of dissociation of excitons, transport, and extraction of charge carriers, which was accompanied by improved trap density and serious trap-induced recombination when exposed to air. Instead, all the electrical characteristics of the IPVSCs with TOASiW/Al, BCP/Ag and TOASiW/Ag remained stable or slightly reduced after exposed to air over 2 days. This work provides new insight into the air aging of IPVSCs and facilitates the development of CIL materials for cost-effective IPVSCs.

Climate change is significantly altering the dynamics of airborne allergens, affecting their seasonality, allergenicity, and geographic distribution, which correlates with increasing rates of allergic diseases. This study investigates aeroallergen sensitization among populations from Tenerife, Spain, and Lima, Peru-two regions with similar climates but distinct socio-economic conditions. Our findings reveal that Spanish individuals, particularly those with asthma, demonstrate higher sensitization levels to a broader range of allergens, especially mites, with 85% of participants reacting to at least one mite allergen.

The development of efficient catalysts for water electrolysis is crucial for advancing the low-carbon transition and addressing the energy crisis. This work involves the fabrication of graphene-based catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) by integrating NiFe-LDH and PbO onto graphene using plasma treatment. The plasma process takes only 30 min.

Peptidoglycan is the basic structural polymer of the bacterial cell wall and maintains the shape and integrity of single cells. Despite years of research conducted on peptidoglycan's chemical composition, the microscopic elucidation of its nanoscopic architecture still needs to be addressed more thoroughly to advance knowledge on bacterial physiology. Apart from the model organism , ultrastructural imaging data on the murein architecture of Gram-negative bacteria is mostly missing today.
