Background: Cementless hip hemiarthroplasty is one of the options for the treatment of osteoporotic femoral neck fractures. Intraoperative periprosthetic femoral calcar fractures sometimes occur during the surgery, and the use of cerclage wiring to maintain the position and stability of the femoral stem and prevent the progression of the fracture. This study examines the outcomes of cerclage wiring to treat intraoperative periprosthetic calcar fractures in cementless hip hemiarthroplasty in osteoporotic femoral neck fractures.

Background: Juvenile Idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is one of the most common chronic diseases in children. It still remains a challenge to treat refractory poly-articular course JIA patients, especially in Bangladesh, where patients from low socio-economic backgrounds are unable to manage biological agents. Tofacitinib is one of the alternative options to biological agents, which can be taken orally and is cost effective.

The development of biocompatible hydrogels for 3D bioprinting is essential for creating functional tissue models and advancing preclinical drug testing. This study investigates the formulation, printability, mechanical properties, and biocompatibility of a novel Alg-Gel hydrogel blend (alginate and gelatin) for use in extrusion-based 3D bioprinting. A range of hydrogel compositions were evaluated for their rheological behavior, including shear-thinning properties, storage modulus, and compressive modulus, which are crucial for maintaining structural integrity during printing and supporting cell viability.

Objectives: The feasibility of corticosteroid withdrawal (CW) for Takayasu arteritis (TAK) remains uncertain. Two autoantibodies (Abs) are identified against endothelial protein C receptor (EPCR) and scavenger receptor class B type 1 (SR-BI) in TAK, determining its three subgroups. This study aimed to evaluate CW using tocilizumab (TCZ) and its association with the Ab profile.
