Average nucleotide identity (ANI) is a widely used metric to estimate genetic relatedness, especially in microbial species delineation. While ANI calculation has been well optimized for bacteria and closely related viral genomes, accurate estimation of ANI below 80%, particularly in large reference data sets, has been challenging due to a lack of accurate and scalable methods. To bridge this gap, we introduce MANIAC, an efficient computational pipeline optimized for estimating ANI and alignment fraction (AF) in viral genomes with divergence around ANI of 70%.

Hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelet count (HELLP) syndrome is a severe complication of preeclampsia (PE), with a higher incidence rate in people living at high altitudes, such as Tibet area. Maternal HELLP syndrome is associated with an elevated neonatal mortality rate. The purpose of this study was to investigate the predicting factors for neonatal outcomes with maternal HELLP syndrome.

Background And Objectives: Generativity, a concern and commitment for others, has shown to be positively associated with health and well-being. Research on generativity in sexual and gender minority (SGM) communities is limited, despite its potential importance given the marginalization older SGM individuals face and limited interaction between generations. We integrate Generativity Theory and the Health Equity Promotional Model to examine key factors for generativity and subgroup differences among SGM midlife and older adults.
