Introduction: Ranulas are mucous cysts that arise from the sublingual gland due to ductal obstruction or trauma. Plunging ranulas, a rare variant, extend into the neck and often present diagnostic challenges. Definitive surgical management is necessary to prevent recurrence and ensure successful outcomes.

Gout is a disorder of purine metabolism described by the deposition of monosodium urate crystals with rare involvement in the head and neck. This is the first laryngeal gout case reported in Sabah, Malaysia. A 50-year-old gentleman with a long history of gouty arthritis presented with acute painless anterior neck swelling for two weeks.

The treatment of demyelinating optic neuritis (DON) in pregnant patients is challenging, especially when there is poor or no response to intravenous methylprednisolone pulse (IVMP) therapy or adjunctive treatments such as intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy. We herein report a case of a 28-year-old pregnant woman who experienced sequential severe vision loss in both eyes. She presented to a local hospital with the main complaint of sudden, painless vision loss in the left eye and was diagnosed with DON in the left eye.

Castleman disease is a lymphadenopathy of unknown cause at a single site, which is designated as unicentric Castleman disease, or at multiple sites designated as multicentric Castleman disease. We present a patient who showed axillary reactive lymphoid hyperplasia, likely due to unicentric Castleman disease, and orbital extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma in a six-year follow-up. A 76-year-old man had a painless left axillary mass for an unknown period and also left complete blepharoptosis with no other systemic symptoms.
