The claw toe deformity is characterized by the flexion of interphalangeal joints (IPJs) with hyperextension of the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint. It can be flexible and reducible or rigid and irreducible, or dynamic. The most common cause of dynamic claw toes is a neurological disorder, like sequelae of an ischemic contracture of the muscle belly after a compartment syndrome. Most of the surgical techniques require multiple procedures and may be associated with complications such as toe stiffness, persisting metatarsalgia, and toe malalignment. The aim of this study is to present an option for the surgical treatment of the dynamic claw toe deformity, by simultaneous tenodesis and lengthening of the flexor hallucis longus (FHL) and flexor digitorum longus (FDL) tendons at Henry's knot through a single midfoot incision.Levels of Evidence: .

Birds use their claws to perch on branches, which helps them to recover energy and observe their surroundings; however, most biomimetic flapping-wing aircraft can only fly, not perch. This study was conducted on the basis of bionic principles to replicate birds' claw and wing movements in order to design a highly biomimetic flapping-wing aircraft capable of perching. First, a posture conversion module with a multi-motor hemispherical gear structure allows the aircraft to flap, twist, swing, and transition between its folded and unfolded states.

Background: Chinese jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.), also called Chinese date, is one of the oldest and widely cultivated fruit trees with great economic values, which, at least, can be attributed to the melliferous flower with highly developed nectary that can secret huge amount of nectar in a rather tiny floral size. However, the morphological nature, metabolic products, developmental process, as well as molecular and regulatory mechanisms of jujube nectary remain largely unknown.

Mental representations of the environment in infants are sparse and grow richer during their development. Anticipatory eye fixation studies show that infants aged around 7 months start to predict the goal of an observed action, e.g.
