The preparation of catalytic hybrid materials by introducing highly dispersed metallic nanoparticles into porous organic polymers (POPs) may be an ideal and promising strategy for integrated CO capture and conversion. In terms of the carboxylative cyclization of propargyl alcohols with CO, the anchoring of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on functional POPs to fabricate efficient heterogeneous catalysts is considered to be quite intriguing but remains challenging. In the contribution, well-dispersed AgNPs were successfully anchored onto the porphyrinic triazine-based frameworks by a simple "liquid impregnation and in situ reduction" strategy. The presence of N-rich dual active sites, porphyrin and triazine, which acted as the electron donor and acceptor, respectively, offered a huge opportunity for the nucleation and growth of metal nanoparticles. Significantly, the as-prepared catalyst Ag/TPP-CTF shows excellent catalytic activity (up to 99%) toward the carboxylative cyclization of propargyl alcohols with CO at room temperature, achieving record-breaking activities (TOF up to 615 h at 1 bar and 3077 h at 10 bar). Moreover, the catalyst can be easily recovered and reused at least 10 times with retention of high catalytic activity. The possible mechanism involves small-sized AgNP-mediated alkyne activation, which may promote highly efficient and green conversion of CO. This work paves the way for immobilizing metal nanoparticles onto functional POPs by surface structure changes for enhanced CO catalysis.

This study introduces a sustainable biological approach for synthesizing silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Conocarpus seeds, aimed at improving the adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) in wastewater treatment. The photocatalytic efficiency of AgNPs, synthesized under varying concentrations of silver nitrate (AgNO) and pH levels, was evaluated, together with the effectiveness of a photocatalytic reactor. The synthesized samples were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy (AFM).

This study provides a comprehensive investigation of antimicrobial additives (ZnO/AgNPs and SiO/AgNPs) on the properties of biodegradable ternary blends composed of poly(hydroxybutyrate) (PHB), poly(lactic acid) (PLA), and polycaprolactone (PCL) by examining the morphology, thermal stability, crystallinity index, and cell viability of these blends. Overall, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis revealed that AgNPs and SiO exhibited comparable sizes, whereas ZnO was significantly larger, which influences their release profiles and interactions with the blends. The addition of antimicrobials influences the rheology of the blends, acting as compatibilizers by reducing the intermolecular forces between biopolymers.

This paper is devoted to the investigation of the plasmonic effect of metal nanoparticles (NPs) formed on the surface of the YAG: Bi, Ce, Yb phosphors in a temperature range between 4 and 300 K. Combination of a thin conversion layer with silver plasmonic nanostructures leads to increase of sensitizer absorption and emission efficiency. Enhancement of Bi luminescence in YAG epitaxial films with Ag NPs was observed upon cooling the samples below 200 K.

The synthesis of nanomaterials from PGPB is an exciting approach and it's often used in agriculture as nano-fertilizers and nano-pesticides. The present study reports a new approach to biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNP), using bacterial metabolites as agents to reduce Ag, which will remain as coating agents able to prevent microbial growth. Silver NP were biosynthesized using the bacterial metabolites produced by the beneficial strain Pseudomonas sp.

Significant progress has been made through the optimization of modelling and device architecture solar cells has proven to be a valuable and highly effective approach for gaining a deeper understanding of the underlying physical processes in solar cells. Consequently, this research has conducted a two-dimensional (2D) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) simulation to develop an accurate model. The approach utilized in this study is based on the finite element method (FEM).
