A new species belonging to the genus Eaton, 1881 is described at the nymphal stage from the Rif Mountains of Morocco. This species presents unique features, such as the chorionic arrangement of the egg and the ornamentation of the posterior margin of abdominal tergites. It is compared to all west European species and a table with discriminating characters is given. A phylogenetic reconstruction based on COI sequences fully supports the hypothesis of a new species in the Rif Mountains, with possible further distribution in southern Spain.

The Ebola filovirus (EBOV) poses a serious threat to global health and national security. Nanobodies, a type of single-domain antibody, have demonstrated promising therapeutic potential. We identified two anti-EBOV nanobodies, Nanosota-EB1 and Nanosota-EB2, which specifically target the EBOV glycoprotein (GP).

Article Synopsis
  • - The study uses scanning electron microscopy to investigate the egg structures of six species from two subgenera of East Palaearctic insects in the Russian Far East, revealing variations in adhesive layer thickness and micropyle type based on species.
  • - Eggs from the subgenus Ephemera possess a notably thick adhesive layer, while those from Sinephemera have thinner, more amorphous layers, with distinct micropyle characteristics observed across species.
  • - Chorion structures vary significantly among species, showing different textures like smooth, reticulate, and wrinkled, which proves essential for identifying and classifying the eggs and their corresponding species.

China has the greatest diversity of species within the genus Ephemera Linnaeus, 1758. However, there has been no systematic revision of these species in recent decades, particularly concerning their nymphs. This study describes and photographs 13 Chinese species from the subgenus Sinephemera Kluge, 2004, including five new ones (E.
