We present measurements of the temporal decay rate of one-dimensional (1D), linear Langmuir waves excited by an ultrashort laser pulse. Langmuir waves with relative amplitudes of approximately 6% were driven by 1.7J, 50fs laser pulses in hydrogen and deuterium plasmas of density n_{e0}=8.4×10^{17}cm^{-3}. The wakefield lifetimes were measured to be τ_{wf}^{H_{2}}=(9±2) ps and τ_{wf}^{D_{2}}=(16±8) ps, respectively, for hydrogen and deuterium. The experimental results were found to be in good agreement with 2D particle-in-cell simulations. In addition to being of fundamental interest, these results are particularly relevant to the development of laser wakefield accelerators and wakefield acceleration schemes using multiple pulses, such as multipulse laser wakefield accelerators.

In light of the ponderomotive force, this article focuses on establishing the exact wave structures of the ion sound system. It is the result of non-linear force and affects a charged particle oscillating in an inhomogeneous electromagnetic field. By using the Riemann-Liouville operator, -operator, and Atangana-Baleanu fractional analysis, the examined equation-which consists of the normalized electric field of the Langmuir oscillation and normalized density perturbation-is thoroughly examined.

The generation of surface acoustic waves (SAW) through electrically driven piezoelectric devices has attracted considerable attention in both fundamental research and practical applications, particularly for suppressing bacterial adhesion on surfaces. However, the precise mechanism by which SAW prevents bacterial attachment remains incompletely understood. This study explores the impact of SAW-induced boundary-driven streaming on the surface adhesion of and in a liquid environment, focusing on the prevention of bacterial adhesion through the formation of micrometer-scale shielding fluid layers.

Various methods have been developed for measuring the surface tension of liquids, and the present study proposes a new method for measuring the surface tension of liquids. A small (9 mm diameter) round liquid surface was excited by sound waves with a common speaker. Nine liquids possessing various physical properties and functional groups were employed, and three resonance frequencies () were observed for each liquid in a frequency range of 20-180 Hz.
