Using holographic duality, we investigate the impact of finite temperature on the instability and splitting patterns of quadruply quantized vortices, providing the first-ever analysis in this context. Through linear stability analysis, we reveal the occurrence of two consecutive dynamical transitions. At a specific low temperature, the dominant unstable mode transitions from the twofold rotational symmetry mode to the threefold one, followed by a transition from the threefold one to the fourfold one at a higher temperature. As the temperature is increased, we also observe the fivefold and sixfold rotational symmetry unstable modes get excited successively. Employing the full nonlinear numerical simulations, we further demonstrate that these two novel dynamical transitions, along with the temperature-induced instabilities for the fivefold and sixfold rotational symmetry modes, can be identified by examining the resulting distinct splitting patterns, which offers a promising route for the experimental verification in the cold atom gases.

Drought is one of the most detrimental natural calamities to the economy. Despite its significant consequences, the evolution from meteorological to agricultural and hydrological droughts still needs to be explored. A thorough investigation was carried out in India's eastern hills and plateau region to determine the extent of drought's impact through indices.

CSIRO Division of Mineral Products, Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The crystallographic phase change from tetragonal litharge (α-PbO; P4/nmm) to orthorhombic massicot (β-PbO; Pbcm) has been studied by full-matrix Rietveld analysis of high-temperature neutron powder diffraction data collected in equal steps from ambient temperature up to 925 K and back down to 350 K. The phase transformation takes place between 850 and 925 K, with the coexisting phases having equal abundance by weight at 885 K. The product massicot remains metastable on cooling to near ambient temperature.

Linear IgA bullous dermatosis (LABD) is a rare subepidermal blistering disorder characterized by the presence of linear IgA deposits at the basement membrane zone (BMZ) by direct immunofluorescence (DIF). This entity was first described by Chorzelski and Jablonska from Warsaw Center of Bullous Diseases, Poland. The disease affects children and adults, whereby they differ in terms of clinical picture and course.

This study explores the propagation dynamics of Bessel-Gaussian (BG) beams, focusing on vortex-splitting behavior under short-range atmospheric conditions with varying disturbances. Using the split-step beam propagation method, the research reveals that greater atmospheric turbulence and longer transmission distances enhance both the average vortex splitting distance and its variance while reducing the average topological charge of the received OAM mode. Conversely, laminar conditions promote beam stability.

We report on the design of an all-mirror wavefront-division interferometer capable of spectroscopic studies across multiple spectral ranges-from the plasma frequencies of metals to terahertz wavelengths and beyond. The proposed method leverages the properties of laser sources with high spatial coherence. A theoretical framework for the interferometer scheme is presented, along with an analytical solution for determining the far-field interference pattern, which is validated through both optical propagation simulations and experimental results.
