Patients with advanced cardiogenic shock requiring mechanical circulatory support are uniquely susceptible to clinical deterioration. Limiting physiologic perturbations via avoidance of general anesthesia and endotracheal intubation by awake Impella 5.5 placement is safe and may represent a novel strategy in mechanical circulatory support initiation among patients in cardiogenic shock. Inflammatory response is a natural protective response in infection or injury. The immune imbalance of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and the use of anti-rheumatic immune drugs may affect the inflammatory response process of shock. The evidence of the impact of RA on short-time mortality in shock patients is limited.

Background: The clinical outcome and fluid balance of patients with veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA ECMO) or after extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (eCPR) may be improved by addressing the high fluid demand with an early albumin administration.
Methods: In this prospective observational study, patients supported with VA ECMO or eCPR received early albumin administration (25 g/L) to prime the VA ECMO system. These patients were compared to patients who received a regimen based solely on balanced crystalloids (crystalloid group) or a regimen based on a 1:4 volume mixture of albumin (10 g/L) and balanced crystalloids (albumin group).

This comprehensive analysis by Saeed and Faeq investigates the impact of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) on mortality among patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) at the Erbil Cardiac Center. Analyzing data from 96 consecutive STEMI patients, the study identified significant predictors of in-hospital mortality, emphasizing the critical impact of time of hospital arrival post-symptom onset on overall prognosis. Findings indicate that factors such as atypical presentation, cardiogenic shock, chronic kidney disease, and specific coronary complications are associated with higher mortality rates.

Background: Obstructive complications in the Fontan circulation pose significant risks to affected patients. Traditional management strategies may be insufficient, necessitating innovative treatment approaches. This case report discusses the use of the FlowTriever Retrieval System for percutaneous aspiration thrombectomy in a patient with a history of Fontan procedure who developed conduit obstruction due to thrombus formation.

Despite its prevalence, DCM's epidemiology and prognosis remain poorly studied in our country.
Material And Methods: A retrospective observational study encompassed patients discharged from all Spanish public hospitals between 2016 and 2021 diagnosed with DCM.
