Human brains and bodies are not hardware running software: the hardware is the software. We reason that because the physics of artificial intelligence hardware and of human biological "hardware" is distinct, neuromorphic engineers need to be selective in the inspiration we take from neuroscience.

Context: "Nanostructure of graphene-reinforced with polymethyl methacrylate" (PMMA-G), and vice versa, is investigated using its molecular structure, in the present work. The PMMA-G nanostructure was constructed by bonding PMMA with graphene nanosheet in a sense to get three different configurations. Each configuration consisted of polymeric structures with three degrees of polymerization (such as monomers, dimers, and trimers polymers, respectively).

Understanding health systems as comprising interacting elements of hardware and software acknowledges health systems as complex adaptive systems (CAS). Hardware represents the concrete components of systems, whereas software represents the elements which influence actions and underpin relationships, such as processes, values and norms As a specific call for research on health system software was made in 2011, we conducted a qualitative scoping review considering how and for what purpose the concept has been used since then. Our overall purpose was to synthesise current knowledge and generate lessons about how to deepen research on, and understanding of, health system software.

Objective: Upper limb movement difficulties in children with acquired brain injury (ABI) result in longer recovery times compared with lower limb. Intensive neurorehabilitation promotes a good long-term functional outcome. Virtual reality (VR) and video game technologies are invaluable adjuncts to traditional neurological rehabilitation as they help to motivate, engage and gain children's compliance in goal-directed therapy.

Machine learning (ML) has benefited from both software and hardware advancements, leading to increasing interest in capitalising on ML throughout academia and industry. There have been efforts in the scientific computing community to leverage this development via implementing conventional partial differential equation (PDE) solvers with machine learning packages, most of which rely on structured spatial discretisation and fast convolution algorithms. However, unstructured meshes are favoured in problems with complex geometries.

Background: The escalating threat of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) in intensive care unit (ICU) demands innovative management strategies to curb the rising infection rates and associated clinical challenges.
Objective: To assess the effectiveness of integrating the multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach with the SHEL (Software, Hardware, Environment, Liveware) model in reducing MDRO infections within ICU settings.
Methods: From January 2021 to April 2024, a prospective, randomized controlled study was conducted in the ICU of Nantong Fourth People's Hospital, enrolling 411 patients with MDRO infections.
