Background Femoral neuropathy is a significant postoperative complication in gynecological surgery that can severely impact patient mobility and quality of life. Existing support systems for thermal pipeline trenches often fail to meet the specific needs of narrow strips, tight timelines, and short construction periods in urban environments. This study introduces a novel recyclable, non-embedded support system composed of corrugated steel plates, retractable horizontal braces, angle steel, and high-strength bolts designed to address these challenges. The system's effectiveness was validated through prototype testing and optimized using Abaqus finite element simulations.

Background/aim: Studies on large cross-arch bridges in patients with severe periodontitis show that such bridges can stabilize the periodontal condition. However, it is not known if these bridges will reduce long-term tooth loss and what factors are important for their long-term survival. The aim of the study was to study all patients with Stages III/IV periodontitis who received cross-arch bridges for up 35 years in a private practice.

Background: Myoepithelial carcinoma is a very rare yet aggressive tumor in children. Surgical intervention and local radiotherapy often lead to post-therapy complications, affecting both the aesthetic and functional quality of life in survivors. Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers offer a minimally invasive option to improve the appearance and quality of life for these patients once they are declared tumor-free.
