Background: Physical activity (PA) interventions have been shown to yield positive effects on cognitive functions. However, it is unclear which type of PA intervention is the most effective in children and adolescents with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDDs). This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of different types of PA interventions on cognitive functions in children and adolescents with NDDs, with additional analyses examining intervention effects across specific NDD types including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

This coincides with a time of declining workforce health, especially among military service entrants, where many performance-limiting health conditions are preventable if healthier behaviours are practised. Gastric cancer (GC) remains a formidable global health concern with significant morbidity and mortality rates, despite the fact that numerous advances have been made to improve conventional therapies. Xiaojianzhong decoction (XJZ), a traditional Chinese medicine, has garnered academic attention as a multicomponent, multitarget approach to managing GC. The present editorial explores the potential of XJZ in the treatment of GC through a comprehensive analysis of network pharmacology and experimental validation.

Effective vaccines against Typhi, targeting the Vi capsular polysaccharide, have been developed and are being introduced into routine immunization in endemic countries. Vi conjugated vaccines are also being tested in new multi-component vaccine formulations. Simple, high-throughput and cost-effective assays to quantify Vi-specific IgG in clinical sera are needed.
