Purpose: Patients' treatment expectations significantly influence the effectiveness of medical and pharmacological treatments. This clinical proof-of-concept study aimed to enhance treatment outcomes by targeting positive treatment expectations of psoriasis patients beginning systemic anti-psoriatic therapy with secukinumab, an interleukin (IL)-17A antagonist.
Patients And Methods: We randomly assigned patients to three groups: a treatment as usual (TAU) group receiving the standard 300mg dose of secukinumab, a dose-control (DC) group with 75% dose reduction and an experimental (EXP) group receiving the same reduced dose along with a "cover story" designed to positively influence treatment expectations.

Structural health monitoring based on vibration signal analysis has been extensively employed for damage identification. Mainstream machine learning techniques, such as convolutional neural networks (CNN), often rely on single-domain inputs, which may provide limited information for accurate damage identification. To overcome this limitation, this study proposes a novel approach that combines an inner product matrix (IPM) with a parallel CNN (IPM-PCNN) to extract multidimensional features for detecting structural damage in a steel frame structure.

Abiotic stresses arising as consequences of climate change pose a serious threat to agricultural productivity on a global scale. Most cultivated crop varieties exhibit susceptibility to such environmental pressures as drought, salinity, and waterlogging. Addressing these abiotic stresses through agronomic means is not only financially burdensome but also often impractical, particularly in the case of abiotic stresses like heat stress.
