Record-breaking levels of asylum seeking by families with young children continue at the United States/Mexico border, particularly the Rio Grande Valley sector. In this Commentary, our aim is to increase awareness by providing child and adolescent mental health care providers with an update on current migrant conditions, bringing to light issues of family separation previously highlighted in the Journal. For context, our international group has collected data, via 3 large-scale studies funded by the National Institutes of Health, from more than 600 Latinx immigrants seeking asylum at the US/Mexico border in the last 4 years, during which levels of violence, climate disruption, and poverty in the Northern Triangle of Central America (ie, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras) and Mexico have propelled high and sustained levels of asylum seeking in the United States. We contribute expertise in clinical psychology, Latinx psychology, attachment disruption, and public health, as well as this front-row perspective.

This is a case of a young, 20-year-old, male Navy recruit who was admitted to our healthcare facility with intermittent atypical chest pain and limiting exertional symptoms and was diagnosed with myocardial bridging (MB) as the most likely etiology of his chest after the complete cardiac workup, leading to his career limitations due to potential risks. Our patient presented with atypical chest pain and limiting exertional symptoms. Chest pain was non-radiating.

Background: Eukaryotic RNA polymerase I consists of 12 or 11 core subunits and three dissociable subunits, Rrn3, A34, and A49. The A34 and A49 subunits exist as a heterodimer. In silico analysis of the A34 family of transcription factors demonstrates a commonly shared domain structure despite a lack of sequence conservation, as well as N-terminal and C-terminal disordered regions.

Many fermentation products inhibit their own microbial production, which complicates industrial-scale fermentation development for these products. When a product is volatile, this inhibition can be circumvented by removing product during fermentation through evaporation in a loop around the bioreactor. Microbes can survive this loop if its temperature is reduced using vacuum.

Actinide elements are characterized by their unique electronic correlations, variable valence states, and localized 5f electrons, leading to unconventional electronic and topological properties in their compounds. The distinctive physical properties of actinide materials are maintained in low-dimensional forms, yet two-dimensional (2D) actinide materials remain largely unexplored due to their scarcity and the experimental challenges posed by their radioactivity. To fill the knowledge gap in 2D actinide materials, we theoretically designed a series of stable thorium-containing 2D materials, including MXenes, chalcogenides, halides, and other compounds with unique structures.
