Zinc is central to the function of many proteins, yet the mechanisms of zinc homeostasis and their interplay with other cellular systems remain underexplored. In this study, we employ data-dependent acquisition (DDA) and data-independent acquisition (DIA) mass spectrometry to investigate proteome changes in under conditions of different zinc availability. Using these methods, we detected 2143 unique proteins, 1578 of which were identified by both DDA and DIA.

Ovarian cancer (OC) remains one of the most lethal gynecological malignancies, largely due to its late-stage diagnosis and high recurrence rates. Chronic inflammation is a critical driver of OC progression, contributing to immune evasion, tumor growth, and metastasis. Inflammatory cytokines, including IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-8, as well as key signaling pathways such as nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), are upregulated in OC, promoting a tumor-promoting environment.

Background: The role of ZNF165 in only a few tumors has been reported. ZNF165 plays an important role in liver cancer, gastric cancer, and breast cancer, especially in regulating the immune microenvironment, promoting tumor cell proliferation and migration, and serving as a potential target for immunotherapy.
Objective: This study aimed to enhance an understanding of how the ZNF165 gene functions and influences cancer development.

Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is continuously shed by all cells in the body, but the regulation of this process and its physiological functions are still largely unknown. Previous research has demonstrated that both nuclear (cf-nDNA) and mitochondrial (cf-mtDNA) cfDNA levels increase in plasma in response to acute psychosocial and physical stress in males. This study further investigated these findings by testing 31 female participants (16 using oral hormonal contraception and 15 not using oral hormonal contraception), and the results were subsequently compared with those of 16 male participants.

The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and the triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL) ratio have emerged as potential indicators for assessing cardiovascular risk. This study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of hypertriglyceridemia, the TyG index, and the TG/HDL ratio for mortality and CVD occurrence within an Iranian population.
