I-III-VI-based semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) have been intensively explored because of their unique controllable optoelectronic properties. Here we report one-pot synthesis of Na-doped Ag-In-Ga-S (AIGS) QDs incorporated in a GaO matrix. The obtained QDs showed a sharp band-edge photoluminescence peak at 557 nm without a broad-defect site emission. The PL quantum yield (QY) of such QDs was 58%, being much higher than that of AIGS QDs without Na doping, 29%. The obtained Na-doped AIGS/GaO composite particles were used as an emitting layer of green QD light-emitted diodes. A sharp electroluminescence (EL) peak was observed at 563 nm, being similar to that in the PL spectrum of the QDs used. The external quantum efficiency of the device was 0.6%.

Epinephrine (Ep) is an important neurotransmitter, which plays an important role in the nervous system and glycogen metabolism of living organisms. Hence, a novel NCQDs/FeCoFe-PBA composite with FeCoFe-Prussian blue analogues (PBA) as the core and nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (NCQDs) as the shell was constructed by a one-pot hydrothermal method, and it was used for the efficient detection of Ep. As a good electroactive material, NCQDs in the composite not only improved the weak conductivity of FeCoFe-PBA, but also limited the self-aggregation of FeCoFe-PBA, and formed a uniform shell on FeCoFe-PBA.

Background: Several chemical studies described the physiological efficacy of 1,4- dihydropyridines (DHPs). DHPs bind to specific sites on the α1 subunit of L-type calcium channels, where they demonstrate a more pronounced inhibition of Ca2+ influx in vascular smooth muscle compared to myocardial tissue. This selective inhibition is the basis for their preferential vasodilatory action on peripheral and coronary arteries, a characteristic that underlies their therapeutic utility in managing hypertension and angina.

Emergency bleeding presents significant challenges such as high blood flow and rapid hemorrhaging. However, many existing hemostatic bandages face limitations, including the uncontrolled release of hemostatic agents, insufficient mechanical strength, poor adhesion, and complex manufacturing processes. To address these limitations, we developed a multifunctional hydrogel bandage for emergency hemostasis using a one-pot synthesis method.

A new one-pot approach was developed for the construction of pyrano[3,2-]chromene-2,5-diones by reacting 4-hydroxycoumarins with ethyl 3-oxo-3-phenylpropanoates in the presence of ammonium salts or aminocrotonates under solvent-free conditions. The title compounds were formed by intramolecular cyclization through new C-C and C-O bonds. Structure assignment of compound 3e was confirmed by single crystal X-ray analysis.

The state-of-the-art, simple and scalable methods for lignin micro-/nano-particles recovery from agricultural biomasses were evaluated in this review. Being non-wood biomasses, these materials can be easily fibrillated, supporting the usage of mild soda or organic solvent pretreatment. Different approaches in particle recovery were compared to conclude that the bottom-up approach facilitates smaller particles towards the nano-size range whereas mechanical treatment can act as a supporting method to increase uniformity and reduce particle sizes after bottom-up precipitation.
