Breast cancer is a leading cause of mortality among women in Taiwan and globally. Non-invasive imaging methods, such as mammography and ultrasound, are critical for early detection, yet standalone modalities have limitations in regard to their diagnostic accuracy. This study aims to enhance breast cancer detection through a cross-modality fusion approach combining mammography and ultrasound imaging, using advanced convolutional neural network (CNN) architectures.

Up to 50% of individuals with uveal melanoma (UM), a frequent cancer of the eye, pass away from metastases. One of the major challenges in treating UM is the role of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), which mediate the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of tumors. RTKs are involved in binding multiple growth factors, leading to angiogenesis and vasculogenic mimicry (VM) phenomena.

Background: Esophageal cancer is highly prevalent in China, predominantly represented by squamous cell carcinoma. This retrospective study sought to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of four staining protocols in identifying early stage esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
Methods: A consecutive series of ninety biopsy samples of esophageal mucosa, collected retrospectively from March 2016 to December 2019, were obtained at Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital, a tertiary care facility in Beijing, China.

Background: Pituitary adenomas (PAs) present with clinical features such as neuroendocrine abnormalities and mass effects, common in the general morbidity population. However, in elderly patients, the disease progression renders some clinical features difficult to detect and identify in time. Consequently, elderly patients with PAs are often not identified and receive sufficient intervention on time to achieve a satisfactory outcome.
