In the current cybersecurity landscape, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks have become a prevalent form of cybercrime. These attacks are relatively easy to execute but can cause significant disruption and damage to targeted systems and networks. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Canadian public health advisors and politicians have shared mixed messages about the utility of portable air filters (PAFs) for mitigating the transmission of airborne infectious diseases. Some public health advisors and decision-makers have also suggested that PAFs are cumbersome or require expert advice. We take this opportunity to review evidence and address myths about PAFs.

The cholinergic deficits and amyloid beta (Aβ) aggregation are the mainstream simultaneously observed pathologies during the progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Deposited Aβ plaques are considered to be the primary pathological hallmarks of AD and are contemplated as promising diagnostic biomarker. Herein, a series of novel theranostic agents were designed, synthesised and evaluated against cholinesterase (ChEs) enzymes and detection of Aβ species, which are major targets for development of therapeutics for AD.

Free vascularized partial great toe is a composite tissue consisting of the osteo-onycho-cutaneous component with neurovascular pedicle and is used for reconstructing amputated fingers at different levels. The half-big-toe nail flap represents that while it provides a good match and functional results; it also conserves the donor foot by having all five toes intact. The aesthetic and functional aspects of the amputated thumbs and fingers can be worked upon and significantly improved.
