In mammals the fila olfactoria, fascicles of axons coursing from sensory neurons in the olfactory epithelium to the glomeruli of the olfactory bulb, not only have a topographic projection pattern but also serve as routes for cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) drainage from around the brain. Les is known about the fila olfactoria in nonmammalian taxa. This work explores the fila olfactoria of the American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) using a combination of gross dissection, histology, Diffusible Iodine-based contrast-enhanced computed tomography, latex corrosion casting, and India ink tracers.

Nanobodies are single domain antibody variants proving themselves to be compelling tools for research, disease diagnostics, and as therapeutics targeting a myriad of disease agents. However, despite this potential, their mechanisms of paratope presentation and structural stabilization have not been fully explored. Here, we show that unlike monoclonal antibodies, a nanobody repertoire maximizes sampling of an antigen surface by binding a single antigen in at least three different orientations, which are correlated with their paratope composition.

Introduction: This systematic review is the first step in the process of standardizing outcome reporting through the development of a core outcome set for research on critically ill obstetric patients (COSCO).
Methods: A five-database search was performed to identify randomized and non-randomized studies published before November 2017, on patients admitted to intensive care or high-dependency units during or immediately after pregnancy. Reported outcomes were categorized into domains and definitions were documented.

Immune-mediated polyarthritis (IMPA) has a relatively high relapse rate compared to other immune-mediated diseases. Leflunomide is frequently used to treat dogs with IMPA in conjunction with prednisolone. This retrospective cohort study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of leflunomide as an adjunctive therapy to prednisolone in reducing relapse and mortality rates in dogs diagnosed with IMPA in Australia.
