Early detection could increase the treatment efficiency and prevent the recurrence of malaria disease. To track and detect malarial sporozoites, novel drug delivery systems have been explored for their ability to target these parasites specifically. This study investigates the potential of micelles to track by targeting the hexose transporter using glucose-based interactions. In vitro experiments were conducted using glucose/SPIO/Nile red (targeted) micelles and methoxy/SPIO/Nile red (nontargeted) micelles, revealing that the targeted micelles exhibited stronger fluorescence with the sporozoites and higher relative R2* values compared to the nontargeted micelles. These findings suggest that targeted micelles could be used for the specific detection of sporozoites using fluorescence imaging and MRI techniques, offering a promising approach for efficient malaria parasite detection.

Cancer treatments such as surgery and chemotherapy have several limitations, including ineffectiveness against large or persistent tumors, high relapse rates, drug toxicity, and non-specificity of therapy. Researchers are exploring advanced strategies for treating this life-threatening disease to address these challenges. One promising approach is targeted drug delivery using prodrugs or surface modification with receptor-specific moieties for active or passive targeting.

Psoriasis, a chronic autoimmune and non-communicable skin disease, affects 2-3% of the global population, creating a significant financial burden on healthcare systems worldwide. Treatment approaches are categorized based on disease severity, with first-line therapy focusing on topical treatments and second-line therapy encompassing phototherapy, systemic therapy, and biological therapy. Transdermal drug delivery methods present a promising alternative by enhancing drug absorption through the skin, potentially improving therapeutic outcomes while minimizing systemic adverse effects.

Lipid nanoparticles are obtaining significant attention in cancer treatment because of their efficacy at delivering drugs and reducing side effects. These things are like a flexible platform for getting anticancer drugs to the tumor site, especially upon HA modification, a polymer that is known to target tumors overexpressing CD44. HA is promising in cancer therapy because it taregtes tumor cells by binding onto CD44 receptors, which are often upregulated in cancer cells.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common primary bone malignancy characterized by deposition of an immature osteoid matrix. OS treatment has proven challenging because of the high risk of metastatic progression and recurrence after chemotherapy. Melittin (MLT) is recognized as a potential antitumor candidate to overcome chemotherapy resistance and provoke superior immunostimulatory effects.
