Josephson digital or analog ancillary circuits are an essential part of a large number of modern quantum processors. The natural candidate for the basis of tuning, coupling, and neromorphic co-processing elements for processors based on flux qubits is the adiabatic (reversible) superconducting logic cell. Using the simplest implementation of such a cell as an example, we have investigated the conditions under which it can optionally operate as an auxiliary qubit while maintaining its "classical" neural functionality. The performance and temperature regime estimates obtained confirm the possibility of practical use of a single-contact inductively shunted interferometer in a quantum mode in adjustment circuits for q-processors.

Sodium dual-ion batteries (Na-DIBs) have attracted increasing attention due to their high operative voltages and low-cost raw materials. However, the practical applications of Na-DIBs are still hindered by the issues, such as low capacity and poor Coulombic efficiency, which is highly correlated with the compatibility between electrode and electrolyte but rarely investigated. Herein, fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) is introduced into the electrolyte to regulate cation/anion solvation structure and the stability of cathode/anode-electrolyte interphase of Na-DIBs.

The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) on transition single-atom catalysts (SACs) is sustainable in energy-conversion devices. However, the atomically controllable fabrication of single-atom sites and the sluggish kinetics of ORR have remained challenging. Here, we accelerate the kinetics of acid ORR through a direct O-O cleavage pathway through using a bi-functional ligand-assisted strategy to pre-control the distance of hetero-metal atoms.

Inorganic compounds with different crystalline and amorphous states may show distinct properties in catalytic applications. In this work, we control the crystallization level by fine thermal treatment and synthesize a semicrystalline IrO material with the formation of abundant boundaries. Theoretical calculation reveals that the interfacial iridium with a high degree of unsaturation is highly active for the hydrogen evolution reaction compared to individual counterparts based on the optimal binding energy with hydrogen (H*).
