: Migraine is a common neurological disorder with highly variable characteristics. While genome-wide association studies have identified genetic risk factors that implicate underlying pathways, the influence of genetic susceptibility on disease characteristics or treatment response is incompletely understood. We examined the relationships between a previously developed standardized integrative migraine polygenic genetic risk score (PRS) and migraine characteristics in a real-world, treated patient cohort.

Pathogenesis-related protein-1 (PR1) encodes a water-soluble protein produced in plants after pathogen infection or abiotic stimulation. It plays a crucial role in plant-induced resistance by attacking pathogens, degrading cell wall macromolecules and pathogen toxins, and inhibiting the binding of viral coat proteins to plant receptor molecules. Compared to model plants, the mechanism of action of PR1 in wheat remains underexplored.

The use of foot orthoses to treat different pathologies in pronated feet in adults is widespread among podiatric professionals, although it has not been conclusively demonstrated to modify foot posture in the short or medium term. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether prefabricated foot supports reduce pronated foot posture in adults, as measured by the foot posture index (FPI). A randomised controlled clinical trial was conducted in 109 subjects with pronated feet.

Purpose: This retrospective study aimed to investigate the subjective and objective visual outcomes following Small Incision Lenticule Extraction (SMILE) surgery in high myopic patients with varying axial lengths (AL).
Methods: The study enrolled 113 highly myopic patients (202 eyes) who underwent SMILE surgery at Shanghai's Tenth People's Hospital from July 2021 to September 2023. Patients were classified into three groups based on the axial length before surgery: Group A (AL < 26mm, 62 eyes), Group B (26mm ≤ AL < 27mm, 88 eyes), and Group C (AL ≥ 27mm, 52 eyes).
