The King Rail () is a wetland dependent species of conservation concern. Our objective was to gain a better understanding of the breeding habitat associations of King Rails in the Midwestern United States and the relationship of this species to other obligate marsh birds using occupancy and MaxEnt models. To collect data pertaining to occupancy, we placed trail cameras at 50 random points in coastal wetlands in the western Lake Erie basin where calls of King Rails were continuously broadcast at night. Data pertaining to other marsh bird species were collected via call-broadcast surveys and camera surveys at each sample point. For MaxEnt modeling, we obtained presence data for King Rails and other obligate marsh birds from eBird and habitat data from GIS databases. Trail cameras and call-broadcast surveys captured 10 detections of King Rails at nine sites, an 18% naive occupancy rate. King Rail occupancy was positively related to amount of interspersion, average water depth, and percent cover of emergent vegetation at local scales within a 5-m radius. Our MaxEnt models indicated that, at a broader scale, the presence of other rail species such as the Sora () may be more important for predicting King Rail presence than other marsh birds or coarse wetland categories such as "emergent vegetation." Our results could help wetland managers to predict where King Rails occur and to adapt management plans to incorporate King Rail conservation.

Background: Human papillomavirus (HPV) testing of self-collected vaginal samples has potential to improve coverage of cervical screening programmes, but current guidelines mostly require those HPV positive on a self-sample to attend for routine screening.
Methods And Findings: A pragmatic modified stepped-wedge implementation feasibility trial was conducted at primary care practices in England. Individuals aged 25 to 64 years who were at least 6 months overdue for cervical screening could provide a self-collected sample.

China and the United States have the highest demand for fossil fuel energy for transportation and power generation, which promotes growth while also damaging the environment. Policymakers, and environmental scientists, are increasingly interested in understanding key strategies to improve energy efficiency to mitigate fossil fuel energy demand and sustain the environment and growth. In this context, this study uses augmented mean groups (AMG) and common correlated effects mean group (CCEMG) estimators to reveal the impact of China-US technological innovation, transportation infrastructure, and power generation on fossil fuel energy demand and fossil fuel energy intensity from 1995 to 2020.

Objective: What are the core capabilities physiotherapists need to deliver quality care when working with people with dementia and their families/caregivers?
Design: A three-round modified e-Delphi study.
Participants: Panel members were physiotherapists experienced in working with people with dementia and/or educating and/or researching in the dementia field.
Methods: A steering group (16 international physiotherapists and a consumer) developed a draft framework including 129 core capabilities across 5 domains for panel members to rate their appropriateness for inclusion as a core capability to provide high quality care to people with dementia and their caregivers/families.

The present investigation focuses on the manufacturing and mechanical evaluation of epoxy-based composites reinforced with fiberglass with and without various particle fillers. The study explores the potential use of industrial wastes, such as coal powder (CP), coal fly ash (CFA), bagasse ash (BA), palm fruit ash (PFA), ash from rice husks (RHA), bone ash (BoA), marble/granite powder (MP), combinations of coal fly ash and coal powder (CFACP), blends of coal fly ash and marble powder (CFAMP), and combinations of coal fly ash and bone ash (CFABoA).The use of industrial factory wastes as a filler in polymer composite materials is becoming more and more common due to the improvement in structural characteristics compared to the pure epoxy-e-glass fiber composites.

Noble metals such as gold (Au), zinc (Zn), and iron (Fe) are highly significant in both fundamental and technological contexts owing to their applications in optoelectronics, optical coatings, transparent coatings, photodetectors, light-emitting devices, photovoltaics, nanotechnology, batteries, and thermal barrier coatings. This study presents a comprehensive investigation of the optoelectronic properties of Fe(111) and Au, Zn/Fe(111) materials using density functional theory (DFT) first-principles method with a focus on both materials' spin orientations. The optoelectronic properties were obtained employing the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) and the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) approach, integrating the exchange-correlation function with the Hubbard potential U for improved accuracy.
