This chapter gives a brief overview of how to screen existing host genomic data for the presence of endosymbionts, such as Wolbachia. The various programs used provide test examples, and the corresponding manuals and discussion boards provide invaluable information. Please do consult these resources.

The aim of this study is to show the relationship between spirituality and the development of modern typhlology focused on supporting people with visual impairments. The text presents the silhouette of Mother Rose Czacka, the sources of her Catholic spirituality and the development of typhlological thought related to her, as well as Dzieło Lasek, which is an emanation of these relationships. The aim of this study is to show the relationship between spirituality and the development of modern typhlology focused on supporting people with visual impairments.

Background: Distinct classes of environmental contaminants - such as microplastics, volatile organic compounds, inorganic gases, hormones, pesticides/herbicides, and heavy metals - have been continuously released into the environment from different sources. Anthropogenic activities with unprecedented consequences have impacted soil, surface waters, and the atmosphere. In this scenario, developing sensing materials and analytical platforms for monitoring water and air quality is essential to supporting worldwide environmental control agencies.

Objectives: To summarise the current evidence on the involvement of dental hygienists (DHs) in residential aged care facilities (RACFs) with respect to the feasibility of integration improved oral health for residents with dementia and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Background: The oral health of RACF residents with dementia is reported to be poor. However, little is known about how DHs can be integrated into RACFs to improve oral health, particularly as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Development of new adsorbents for the efficient removal of organic pollutants from water is one of the most emerging environmental issues. Current studies in this field focus on improving the adsorption capacity of various materials and/or broadening the pH range in which the adsorbents can efficiently remove target pollutants. In this study, we designed bifunctional hyper-cross-linked polymers (HCPs) containing both carbonyl and amine species to investigate the effect of amine functional groups on the efficiency of adsorptive removal of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) from water.

Italy is witnessing an unprecedented success for sushi even if Italian consumers have a historical reluctance towards eating raw fish. It is important to understand what is behind this major shift in preferences, since it may set an example for the process of adoption of global products and/or diets.
