In Korea, the expansion of barren ground and a shift in macrograzer habitats due to increasing water temperatures associated with climate change are becoming increasingly problematic. This study assessed the potential effects of the sea urchin and top shell on seaweed beds by examining changes in their food consumption rates in response to changes in temperature. The food consumption rates of kelp () for both species were estimated at 5 °C, 10 °C, 15 °C, 20 °C, and 25 °C in laboratory experiments. The rate for increased with increasing water temperature, with the highest rate of 0.001 g g d at 15 °C and 20 °C, and the lowest at 25 °C, which killed some individual sea urchins. The rate for also increased with increasing water temperature, with the highest being 0.087 g g d at 25 °C and the lowest being at 5 °C. had a higher food consumption rate than at all temperatures; as water temperature increased, the difference between species increased, with the largest difference occurring at 25 °C. These findings indicate that as water temperature increases, places greater feeding pressure on macroalgae than .

Special education teachers support students with complex communication needs across the day. Yet, evidence suggests that these professionals are entering the field without being fully prepared to support these students by having the knowledge and skill to implement augmentative and alternative communication practices. The lack of preparedness from these professionals creates barriers for students with complex communication needs, their families, and other team members.

Introduction: Unipolar and bipolar mood disorders in older adults are accompanied by cognitive impairment, including executive dysfunction, with a severe impact on daily life. Up and till now, strategies to improve cognitive functioning in late-life mood disorders (LLMD) are sparse. Therefore, we aimed to assess the efficacy of adaptive, computerized cognitive training (CT) on executive and subjective cognitive functioning in LLMD.

Background: Abdominal aortic calcification (AAC) is a prevalent form of vascular calcification associated with adverse cardiovascular outcomes. While previous studies on AAC and cardiovascular risk exist, many have limitations such as small sample sizes and limited clinical significance outcomes. This study aims to prospectively investigate the association between AAC and all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD)-specific mortality rates in a nationally representative sample of adults in the United States, using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

While research shows that AAC intervention can effectively support communication from children with IDD, research on its impact on school readiness skills is limited. Methods Two preschool aged children with IDD participated in this study.
