In this dataset we provide a comprehensive collection of line-of-sight (LOS) solar photospheric magnetograms (images quantifying the strength of the photospheric magnetic field) from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA's) Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). The dataset incorporates data from three sources and provides SDO Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) magnetograms of solar active regions (regions of large magnetic flux, generally the source of eruptive events) as well as labels of corresponding flaring activity. This dataset will be useful for image analysis or solar physics research related to magnetic structure, its evolution over time, and its relation to solar flares. The dataset will be of interest to those researchers investigating automated solar flare prediction methods, including supervised and unsupervised machine learning (classical and deep), binary and multi-class classification, and regression. This dataset is a minimally processed, user configurable dataset of consistently sized images of solar active regions that can serve as a comprehensive image dataset of LOS photospheric magnetograms for solar flare prediction research.

Graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) has been regarded as highly potential photocatalyst for solar energy utilization. However, the restricted absorption of visible light for pristine g-CN significantly limits the solar-light-driven chemical reaction efficiency. Herein, structurally distorted g-CN nanosheets with awakened n-π* electron transition were successfully synthesized through hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA)-involved supercritical CO (scCO) treatment and following pyrolysis of melamine precursor.

The present article focuses on the characterization of the new biocomposites of poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) with fillers of plant origin such as onion peels (OP) and durum wheat bran WB () subjected to composting and artificial aging. The susceptibility to fungal growth, cytotoxicity and antibacterial properties were also examined. The biodegradation of the samples was investigated under normalized conditions simulating an intensive aerobic composting process.

From the time of discovery, CHNHSnI has been a promising candidate in photovoltaics due to its outstanding optoelectronic properties. However, stabilization was not easy to achieve in CHNHSnI-based solar cells. Because CHNHSnI was used as an absorber, its naturally-occurring self-doping property spontaneously modified band alignment, which increased carrier recombination and decreased the efficiency of solar cell gradually.

The toxicokinetics of nitrosamines remain a mystery to this day, though it appears that the role of nitrosamines in potentiating the generation of mutations required for the onset of skin cancer continues to be a significant concern. Nitrosamines are mutagens, genotoxic substances, and mediators of phototoxicity/carcinogenicity, whose long-term daily usage, in the context of polypharmacy, can result in the parallel appearance of heterogeneous forms of skin cancer: keratinocytic and melanocytic. But a number of clinical observations suggest that it is the nitrosamines that potentiate the multiple occurrences of skin cancer over the years, or recurrences of skin cancer localized in areas exposed to solar radiation.

Indium nitride (InN) exhibited significant potential as a photoelectrode material for photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting, attributed to its superior light absorption, high electron mobility, and direct bandgap. However, its practical application was constrained by rapid carrier recombination occurring within the bulk and at the surface. To address these limitations, researchers developed InN/UiO-66 heterojunction photoelectrodes, which markedly enhanced PEC water splitting for hydrogen production.
