Image analysis serves as a tool for examining dye diffusion and absorption. The results indicate a correlation between dye concentrations and membrane thickness. Thinner layers exhibit a consistent dye concentration, implying an even distribution of the dye during the diffusion process. However, thicker layers display varying concentrations at different edges, suggesting the establishment of a diffusion gradient. Moreover, the authors observe an increased concentration of gelatin at the peripheries rather than at the center, possibly due to the swelling of the dried sample and a potential water concentration gradient. The manuscript concludes by suggesting image analysis as a practical alternative to spectral analysis, particularly for detecting whether methylene blue has been adsorbed onto the macromolecular network. These findings significantly enhance the understanding of the complex interactions between methylene blue and gelatin in a membrane and lay a solid foundation for future research in this field.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a complex disease of cartilage characterised by joint pain, functional limitation, and reduced quality of life with affected joint movement leading to pain and limited mobility. Current methods to diagnose OA are predominantly limited to X-ray, MRI and invasive joint fluid analysis, all of which lack chemical or molecular specificity and are limited to detection of the disease at later stages. A rapid minimally invasive and non-destructive approach to disease diagnosis is a critical unmet need.

Texture analysis generates image parameters from F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG PET/CT). Although some parameters correlate with tumor biology and clinical attributes, their types and implications can be complex. To overcome this limitation, pseudotime analysis was applied to texture parameters to estimate changes in individual sample characteristics, and the prognostic significance of the estimated pseudotime of primary tumors was evaluated.

This study aimed to explore a deep learning radiomics (DLR) model based on grayscale ultrasound images to assist radiologists in distinguishing between benign breast lesions (BBL) and malignant breast lesions (MBL). A total of 382 patients with breast lesions were included, comprising 183 benign lesions and 199 malignant lesions that were collected and confirmed through clinical pathology or biopsy. Although the connection between muscular strength and flatfoot condition is well-established, the impact of corrective exercises on these muscles remains inadequately explored. This study aimed to assess the impact of intrinsic- versus extrinsic-first corrective exercise programs on muscle morphometry and navicular drop in boys with flexible flatfoot. Twenty-five boys aged 10-12 with flexible flatfoot participated, undergoing a 12-week corrective exercise program, with a shift in focus at six weeks.
