Background: Outpatient waiting list figures have substantially increased over the last 3 years due to the effects of a global pandemic and cyber-hacking crisis. Multidisciplinary initiatives are essential to try to reduce the burden on overwhelmed medical and surgical specialties.
Objective: The purpose of the study is as follows: (1) to demonstrate the potential for a problem-specific clinic to help ease the burden on an overwhelmed specialty and identify high-risk patients who may benefit from earlier surgical intervention and (2) to provide supervised clinical training to our clinical nurse specialist.
Methods: A retrospective audit of outpatient referrals awaiting an appointment was conducted, and a new outpatient clinic was formed for patients referred with tonsil issues with or without additional complaints.
Results: Two hundred ninety-five patients with an average waiting time of 14.4 months were offered an outpatient appointment over 5 months. Sixty-four percent (n = 189) attended their appointments, and 59.3% (n = 112) of these were listed for surgery. One hundred fifty-eight patients were able to be discharged back to the care of their general practitioners.
Discussion/conclusion: This outpatient clinic identified a large number of patients waiting significant periods of time for an outpatient appointment and allowed a definitive clinical decision to be made with most patients being either discharged or listed for surgery. Initiatives such as this offer the possibility of reducing the burden of long waiting times on individual institutions.

Introduction: The frequency of scabies and its relationship with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is a current scientific curiosity in Turkey and worldwide. The data presented in this article will help raise awareness of dermatologists in situations such as pandemic-induced quarantines where scabies can spread rapidly.
Methodology: This was a retrospective study to compare patients who presented with scabies and were evaluated during the COVID-19 pandemic, with those who presented before and after the pandemic, in terms of the diagnosis ratios.

Introduction: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is associated with long-term symptoms, but the spectrum of these symptoms remains unclear. We aimed to identify the prevalence and factors associated with persistent symptoms in patients at the post-COVID-19 outpatient clinic.
Methodology: This cross-sectional, observational study included hospitalized severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infected patients followed-up at a post-COVID-19 clinic between September 2021 and January 2022.

Introduction: We aimed to present the changes that may occur in pulmonary functions in children who experienced more severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) during long-term follow-up.
Methodology: A prospective longitudinal observational cohort study was conducted with 34 pediatric patients (7-18 years) who were hospitalized with COVID-19 infection (moderate n = 25, severe n = 9), and followed up at our Pediatric Infection Outpatient Clinic for approximately two years. Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) were performed using spirometry.

Background And Objectives: The key points of a monographic vascular access (VA) consultation are an adequate preoperative assessment, as well as a correct management and optimization of waiting lists. Our main objective of present study was to evaluate the degree of exploratory-dependent concordance in outpatient clinics regarding implanted VA, between nephrology and vascular surgery.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed VA created or surgically repaired between 2021 and 2022.

Background: Cognitive training (CT) has been one of the important non-pharmaceutical interventions that could delay cognitive decline. Currently, no definite CT methods are available. Furthermore, little attention has been paid to the effect of CT on mood and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
