Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has been established as an effective treatment modality in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS) and the uptake of TAVI is rapidly growing in the Asia-Pacific region. However, there exist a heterogeneity in the management of aortic stenosis and the use of TAVI among countries in the region. Reasons for these differences include anatomic variations, disparity in healthcare resources and infrastructure, and the lack of consensus on the optimal management of AS in the Asia-Pacific region.

Suspicion of vascular injury during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) should be raised in the event of intraprocedural bleeding, persistent hyperbilirubinemia, and sepsis despite biliary stenting. Most inadvertent portal vein (PV) cannulations during ERCP are innocuous, and mere withdrawal of guidewire and catheter suffices. However, unintentional PV stenting, particularly with larger metallic stents, increases the likelihood of significant bleeding.

The plasmonic metal doping on the UV-active metal oxide nanoparticle turns the resultant plasmonic metal-metal oxide (PMMO) into visible light active and upon exogenous illumination the photogenerated energetic charge carriers and the generated reactive oxygen species (ROS, e.g. ·OH and O ) authoritatively enhances its biological and catalytic activity.

Introduction: Chronic wounds pose a significant burden on patients' physical and mental well-being and significantly raise health-care costs.
Case Report: We report healing with VG111 application alone in a case of chronic wound in a patient who sustained a shell injury to the heel 35 years prior in 1988. Despite conventional wound care and multiple surgeries, the wound persisted.
