With the increasing use of technology in nursing, how nurses perform practice care has changed, inevitably leading to ethical concerns that differ from original ethical norms in nursing. Studies have focused on ethical issues in health informatics from clinicians' or patients' perspectives, while nurses' perspective is needed. This paper conducts a theoretical study on ethical predicaments that arise in nursing informatics from nurses' perspectives. Why and how these predicaments emerge are elaborated. Also, this paper offers countermeasures in realistic contexts from technique, education, and leadership aspects. Collaborations between governments, administrators, educators, technicians, and nurses are needed to step out of these predicaments.

Background: Although frailty is highly prevalent in hospitalized older heart failure (HF) patients, its management is often delayed. Understanding the unique experiences of frail elderly HF patients and the perceptions of healthcare professionals (HPs) regarding frailty can facilitate the integration of frailty prevention and intervention into clinical practice. This study aimed to use a descriptive qualitative approach to obtain the experiences of frailty in older HF patients and the perceptions of HPs concerning frailty.

Relatives are increasingly recognized as important in the care of people with a serious mental health condition, such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia. Research indicates that in providing care, relatives use so-called treatment pressures, such as persuasion, interpersonal leverage, inducements, or threats, to promote the treatment compliance of their family member. This grounded theory study investigated why relatives use treatment pressures by analyzing the experiences of relatives of people with a serious mental health condition before, during, and after mental health crises of their family member.

This practice paper reflects on an ongoing Participatory Action Research project that combines community-engaged methods, national data analysis and advocacy to support community-based emergency response to extreme weather events in 16 Indigenous communities in Alta Verapaz province, Guatemala. Our work points to a worrying predicament experienced in climate-affected areas, where some populations face a dangerous confluence of climate vulnerability, social exclusion and state abandonment that imperils human health. Indigenous communities in Alta Verapaz are often particularly vulnerable to health impacts from climate-driven extreme weather events, a reality compounded by the historical and contemporary ways the state marginalises them.

Turner and colleagues recently argued that countries with unclear laws and regulations regarding stem cells, exosomes, and other regenerative medicine products should develop and enforce more comprehensive regulatory structures. We fully agree with this opinion and discuss that failure to do so may lead to troubling predicaments, such as the Japanese cases, where patients are at risk of serious complications or even death.
