Objective: To estimate trait and state anxiety levels among intensivecare professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Method: Cross-sectional, analytical study, conducted from April to July 2022, in a teaching hospital in southern Brazil, using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory scale.
Results: Trait and state anxiety were present in more than half of the sample, being associated with gender, age group, having children, weekly workload, time working in the hospital and ICU (p<0.05) for the state; and associated with gender, having children, profession, daily and weekly workload, and time working in the hospital (p<0.05) for the trait.
Conclusion: Trait and state anxiety were medium to high level for women, young, without children, non-nurses, with a daily shift of 9 to 18 working hours, a weekly workload of more than 40 hours, with less than five years of experience in intensive care and with more than five years of experience working in the institution.

Following the (revised) latent state-trait theory, the present study investigates the within-subject reliability, occasion specificity, common consistency, and construct validity of cognitive control measures in an intensive longitudinal design. These indices were calculated applying dynamic structural equation modeling while accounting for autoregressive effects and trait change. In two studies, participants completed two cognitive control tasks (Stroop and go/no-go) and answered questions about goal pursuit, self-control, executive functions, and situational aspects, multiple times per day.

Ascochyta blight, caused by the necrotrophic fungus Ascochyta rabiei, is a major threat to chickpea production worldwide. Resistance genes with broad-spectrum protection against virulent A. rabiei strains are required to secure chickpea yield in the US Northern Great Plains.

Background: In middle-income countries, healthcare systems face unique challenges in ensuring timely antenatal detection of congenital abnormalities that require pediatric surgical intervention. Early detection can significantly improve outcomes, yet resource constraints often limit access to diagnostic technologies. This study evaluates the antenatal detection rate of congenital abnormalities referred to pediatric surgical services in three Malaysian tertiary centers and examines its effect on maternal anxiety.

Background: Epistasis, the phenomenon where the effect of one gene (or variant) is masked or modified by one or more other genes, significantly contributes to the phenotypic variance of complex traits. Traditionally, epistasis has been modeled using the Cartesian epistatic model, a multiplicative approach based on standard statistical regression. However, a recent study investigating epistasis in obesity-related traits has identified potential limitations of the Cartesian epistatic model, revealing that it likely only detects a fraction of the genetic interactions occurring in natural systems.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the use of chatbot and video education to reduce anxiety in patients with breast cancer undergoing RT.
Methods And Materials: This randomized controlled trial included patients with breast cancer scheduled for RT after surgery at an outpatient department of radiation oncology in a cancer center, randomly assigned to four groups: (1) Video+Chatbot, (2) Video+Paper, (3) Paper+Chatbot, and (4) Paper+Paper. In each group, patients received information regarding the treatment process and were frequently asked questions using the designated tool.
