Objective: To systematically evaluate the existing meta-analyses on PDT for cholangiocarcinoma, assessing evidence quality and strength while performing updated meta-analyses to refine survival outcomes.

Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were systematically searched up to September 18, 2024, to identify meta-analyses and clinical studies on PDT in patients with cholangiocarcinoma.

Study Design: A retrospective cohort study of 240 patients treated for sialolithiasis between 2015 and 2018, focusing on 57 cases of SMG stones that underwent stone removal procedures. Treatment methods, success rates, and complications were analyzed using Kaplan-Meier analysis, Cox proportional hazards regression, and multiple logistic regression.

Purpose: Perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (pCCA) is a rare malignancy requiring resection of extrahepatic bile ducts with or without hepatectomy. Prognostic models for post-operative outcomes in pCCA are unusable in pre-operative decision-making as most are based on post-operative variables.
