We propose a method based on Synchrosqueezing Transform (SST) for vibration event analysis and identification in Phase Sensitive Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry (Φ-OTDR) systems. SST has high time-frequency resolution and phase information, which can distinguish and enhance different vibration events. We use six tap events with different intensities and six other events as experimental data and test the effect of attenuation. We use Visual Geometry Group (VGG), Vision Transformer (ViT), and Residual Network (ResNet) as deep classifiers for the SST transformed data. The results show that our method outperforms the methods based on Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) and Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT), while ResNet is the best classifier. Our method can achieve high recognition rate under different signal strengths, event types, and attenuation levels, which shows its value for Φ-OTDR system.

We examine the collective motion in computational models of a two-dimensional dusty plasma crystal and a charged colloidal suspension as they approach their respective melting transitions. To unambiguously identify rearrangement events in the crystal, we map the trajectory of configurations from an equilibrium molecular dynamics simulation to the corresponding sequence of configurations of local potential energy minima ("inherent structures"). This inherent structure (IS) trajectory eliminates the ambiguity that arises from localized vibrational motion.

Objective: Relying on published data alone might be insufficient for meta-analyses to be reliable and trustworthy since selective outcome reporting is common, especially for adverse events. We investigated the existence of selective reporting and its potential for bias in a case study exploring adverse events of duloxetine in adults.
Study Design And Setting: We systematically searched all previous meta-analyses/pooled analyses on duloxetine published on PubMed for 7 indications approved by the American and European health authorities.

Background/aims: The prognostic importance of changes in vibration-controlled transient elastography (VCTE) parameters, liver stiffness measurement (LSM), and controlled attenuation parameter (CAP), in individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is unknown.
Methods: A prospective cohort of 288 patients underwent 2 VCTE exams at least 2 years apart, and the relative percentage changes in LSM and CAP were calculated. Outcomes were the occurrence of any liver-related events (LREs), cardiovascular events (CVEs), and all-cause mortality.

Objective: Although FibroScan (FS), based on Vibration-Controlled Transient Elastography (VCTE), is a widely used non-invasive device for assessing liver fibrosis and steatosis, its current standard-VCTE examination remains timely and difficult on patients with obesity. The Guided-VCTE examination uses continuous shear waves to locate the liver by providing a real-time predictive indicator for shear wave propagation and uses shear wave maps averaging to increase the signal-to-noise ratio in difficult to assess patients. We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the new indicator, as well as compare examination times and success rates with both standard-VCTE and Guided-VCTE examinations.

Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the localization and configuration of vibration and obstruction in drug-induced sleep endoscopy(DISE) in obstructive sleep apnea patients and to investigate the optimal sedation depth.
Materials And Methods: The study was conducted prospectively with 42 patients. After achieving sedation with intravenous anesthetic agents, simultaneous monitoring of the patient's bispectrometry (BIS), DISE and sleep testing with a type 2 polysomnography device were performed.
