AI Article Synopsis

  • Sulfoxonium ylide is used to facilitate the C-H allylation of arenes by employing strained vinyl carbo/heterocycles as substitutes for allyl groups.
  • This process involves a sequential activation of C-H and C-C/heteroatom bonds.
  • Key advantages include a wide range of applicable substrates, co-catalysis, high selectivity, and the ability to modify drugs in later development stages.

Article Abstract

Sulfoxonium ylide chelation-assisted C-H allylation of arenes has been accomplished utilizing strained vinyl carbo/heterocycles as the allyl surrogates sequential C-H and C-C/het bond activation. Broad substrate scope, Co-catalysis, selectivity, and late-stage drug mutation are the important practical features.
