In this article I reflect on almost 40 years of clinical practice. I remember the first day like it was yesterday, and I remember the last day, but the in between represents my soul, a soul that has been shaped by countless experiences. Some of these experiences were immediately impactful and left an indelible mark on my soul, but most of them were memorable only for a fleeting moment, soon to be forgotten. Yet the cumulation of these seemingly trivial experiences, in retrospect, served as the foundation of my career at Kaiser Permanente.

Many witnesses are intoxicated at crime scenes, yet little is known of their ability to accurately describe perpetrators to police. We therefore explored the impact of alcohol on delayed verbal face recall across two experiments. Background: Research supports the use of mobile phone apps to promote medication adherence, but the use of and satisfaction with these apps among medically underserved patients with chronic illnesses remain unclear.
Objective: This study reports on the overall use of and satisfaction with a medication adherence app (Medisafe) in a medically underserved population.
Methods: Medically underserved adults who received care for one or more chronic illnesses at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) were randomized to an intervention group in a larger randomized controlled trial and used the app for 1 month (n=30), after which they completed a web-based survey.

Alzheimer's disease (AD), the most common neurodegenerative disorder world-wide, presents sex-specific differences in its manifestation and progression, necessitating personalized diagnostic approaches. Current procedures are often costly and invasive, lacking consideration of sex-based differences. This study introduces an explainable machine learning (ML) system to predict and differentiate the progression of AD based on sex, using non-invasive, easily collectible predictors such as neuropsychological test scores and sociodemographic data, enabling its application in every day clinical settings.
