Summary: RNA molecules play crucial roles in various biological processes. They mediate their function mainly by interacting with other RNAs or proteins. At present, information about these interactions is distributed over different resources, often providing the data in simple tab-delimited formats that differ between the databases. There is no standardized data format that can capture the nature of all these different interactions in detail.
Availability And Implementation: Here, we propose the RNA interaction format (RIF) for the detailed representation of RNA-RNA and RNA-Protein interactions and provide reference implementations in C/C++, Python, and JavaScript. RIF is released under licence GNU General Public License version 3 (GNU GPLv3) and is available on https://github.com/RNABioInfo/rna-interaction-format.

The innate immune system promptly detects and responds to invading pathogens, with a key role played by the recognition of bacterial-derived DNA through pattern recognition receptors. The Z-DNA binding protein 1 (ZBP1) functions as a DNA sensor inducing type I interferon (IFN) production, innate immune responses and also inflammatory cell death. ZBP1 interacts with cytosolic DNA via its DNA-binding domains, crucial for its activation.

Background: Adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEGJ) is a highly aggressive tumor that frequently metastasizes to the liver. Understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive this process is essential for developing effective therapies.
Methods: We employed single-cell RNA sequencing to analyze the tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental landscape in patients with AEGJ liver metastases.

Background: Colon adenocarcinoma (COAD) is a malignancy with a high mortality rate and complex biological characteristics and heterogeneity, which poses challenges for clinical treatment. Anoikis is a type of programmed cell death that occurs when cells lose their attachment to the extracellular matrix (ECM), and it plays a crucial role in tumor metastasis. However, the specific biological link between anoikis and COAD, as well as its mechanisms in tumor progression, remains unclear, making it a potential new direction for therapeutic strategy research.

Introduction: Osteosarcoma (OS), a prevalent metastatic cancer among young individuals, is associated with a grim prognosis. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), including C1QTNF1-AS1, are pivotal regulators of cancer cell proliferation and motility. As an oncogene, C1QTNF1-AS1 is implicated in various tumor types, such as colorectal, pancreatic, hepatocellular carcinomas, and OS.

Guvermectin, a purine nucleoside natural product produced by the genus S, has recently been registered as a new biopesticide to boost rice yield. Despite its economic and agricultural significance, the regulatory mechanisms of guvermectin biosynthesis remain essentially unknown, hindering industrial production and widespread agricultural application. Here, we examined the roles of two LacI family regulators, and , located within and adjacent to the guvermectin biosynthesis cluster, respectively, in guvermectin production in NEAU6.
