Background: Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is an attractive target for cancer theranostics. Although FAP-targeted nuclear imaging demonstrated promising clinical results, only sub-optimal results are reported for targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT). Preclinical research is crucial in selecting promising FAP-targeted radiopharmaceuticals and for obtaining an increased understanding of factors essential for FAP-TRT improvement.

Fibrosis, characterised by excessive extracellular matrix deposition, contributes to both organ failure and significant mortality worldwide. Whereas fibroblasts are activated into myofibroblasts, marked by phenotypic factors such as α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), periostin, fibroblast activation protein (FAP) and heat shock protein 47 (HSP47), the cellular processes of trans-differentiation for fibrosis development remain poorly understood. Herein, we hypothesised that the molecular signalling of geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate (GGPP), a crucial biochemical molecule for protein prenylation, is essential in the regulation of profibrotic mechanisms for fibroblast-to-myofibroblast activation.

FapC and FapB are biofilm-associated amyloids involved in the virulence of Pseudomonas and other bacteria. We herein demonstrate their exceptional thermal and chemical resilience, suggesting that their biofilm structures might withstand standard sterilization, thereby contributing to the persistence of P. aeruginosa infections.

Background The National Medical Commission of India recommends the Family Adoption Program (FAP) under Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) in the MBBS curriculum. Medical students can witness firsthand the living situations of the people they treat as patients in the hospital through community participation. Students also learn how various health factors impact patients in real-world settings.

However, the effects of the direction of activation and premature atrial contraction (PAC) on FAP is unknown. Therefore, we examined the impact of anisotropic conduction and PAC on the distribution and areas of FAP.
