Chiral coordination cages have emerged as an efficient platform for enantioselective processes via host-guest interactions. Here, we report an enantiomeric pair of tetrahedral cages of formula [(Pd[PO(N(*CH(CH)Ph)])(CO)] supported by chiral tris(imido)phosphate trianions and squarate (CO) linkers. These cages exhibit unusual coordination isomerism for Pd(II)-linker bonds compared with the other Pd(II) cages of this family. Further, they were employed for the recognition and separation of small chiral molecules containing various functionalities. High enantioselectivities of 67 and 41 were found in the case of -4-hydroxydihydrofuran-2(3)-one and -epichlorohydrin, recognized by the -isomer of the cage. Chiral separation studies showed remarkable enantiomeric excess values of 93 and 85% for -epichlorohydrin and -4-benzyl-2-oxazolidinone, respectively, from their racemic mixtures. These studies showcase the potential of coordination cages for enantioselective applications.

Nursing activity recognition has immense importance in the development of smart healthcare management and is an extremely challenging area of research in human activity recognition. The main reasons are an extreme class-imbalance problem and intra-class variability depending on both the subject and the recipient. In this paper, we apply a unique two-step feature extraction, coupled with an intermediate feature 'Angle' and a new feature called mean min max sum to render the features robust against intra-class variation.

Catalytic species such as molecular catalysts and metal catalysts are commonly attached to varieties of supports to simplify their separation and recovery and accommodate various reaction conditions. The physicochemical microenvironments surrounding catalytic species play an important role in catalytic performance, and the rational design and engineering of microenvironments can achieve more efficient chemical synthesis, leading to greener and more sustainable catalysis. In this review, we highlight recent works addressing the topic of the design and engineering of microenvironments of supported catalysts, including supported molecular catalysts and supported metal catalysts.

Chiral macrocycles have emerged as attractive media for chromatographic enantioseparation due to their excellent host-guest recognition properties. In this study, a new chiral stationary phase (CSP) based on 1,1'-binaphthyl chiral polyimine macrocycle (CPM) was reported. The CPM was synthesized by one-step aldehyde-amine condensation of (S)-2,2'-dihydroxy-[1,1'-binaphthalene]-3,3'-dicarboxaldehyde with 1,2-phenylenediamine and bonded on thiolated silica via the thiol-ene click reaction to afford the CSP.
