These risks can be reduced by vaccination against common pathogens. Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is a common chronic pain disease that persists after the rash (clusters of clear blisters on the surface of the skin) has healed, adversely affecting the quality of life of affected patients. Gabapentin (GPT) and pregabalin (PGB) are two commonly used drugs for the treatment of PHN, but there have been broad concerns regarding their efficacy and safety. Thus, this retrospective cohort study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness and safety of GPT versus PGB in the treatment of PHN.

Objective: This study aimed to assess infection occurrence of infection and risk factors among ankylosing spondylitis (AS) patients treated with biologics in a real-world setting.
Methods: This prospective observational cohort study included AS patients from the Korean College of Rheumatology BIOlogics (KOBIO) registry who initiated or switched to biologic agent between December 2012 and July 2023. The primary outcome was the first occurrence of any infection, ranging from mild to severe, classified by organ system.

Introduction: The Behçet's Disease Current Activity Form (BDCAF) is crucial for monitoring the progression and treatment efficacy of Behçet's Disease (BD), an autoimmune disorder that can be triggered or exacerbated by viral infections. Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) has long been recognized as a potential trigger for BD, as it can induce systemic inflammation and exacerbate symptoms. In contrast, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has recently emerged and may also initiate or worsen BD symptoms.
