This article presents a new approach to the analysis of how students answer tests and how they allocate resources in terms of time on task and revisiting previously answered questions. Previous research has shown that in high-stakes assessments, most test takers do not end the testing session early, but rather spend all of the time they were assigned to take the test. Rather than being an indication of speededness, this was found to be caused by test takers' tendency to revisit previous items even if they already provided answers to all questions. In accordance with this information, the proposed approach models revisit patterns simultaneously with responses and response times to gain a better understanding of the relationship between speed, ability, and revisit tendency. The empirical data analysis revealed that examinees' tendency to revisit items was strongly related to their speed and subgroups of examinees displayed different test-taking behaviors.

Lethal COVID-19 outcomes are attributed to classic cytokine storm. We revisit this using RNA sequencing of nasopharyngeal and 40 autopsy samples from patients dying of SARS-CoV-2. Subsets of the 100 top-upregulated genes in nasal swabs are upregulated in the heart, lung, kidney, and liver, but not mediastinal lymph nodes.

Study Setting And Design: In this retrospective study, we used comprehensive EMR data from patients who visited the Mayo Clinic of Arizona Emergency Department (ED) between October 6, 2018 and December 31, 2019. Primary outcomes are patient length of stay (LOS) in the ED, number of diagnostic imaging tests ordered during a patient encounter, and patients' return with admission to the ED within 72 h.

Injecting HO into aquifers is a widely used chemical oxidation (ISCO) technology for groundwater remediation. Dissolved silicate was reported to decrease the reactivity of iron (Ⅲ)-bearing minerals toward HO. In this study, the effect of naturally occurring levels of dissolved silicate (≤1 mM) on the catalyzing hydrogen peroxide (CHP) with Fe(II) minerals is revaluated, and new observations that contradict with previous studies are reported.
